The Shep Shack Story |
Shep purchased the property at 406 Palm Blvd in January 2017 when he was living downtown Charleston. As he told The Post and Courier, "As much as I love downtown, I had to get out of there. I hadn't seen the ocean in weeks other than driving over the bridge. So I went back to my roots, got a great deal on it back then."Built in the 1950s, the 2,556-square-foot house has become Shep's personal retreat over the years. Now at age 45, Shep is looking to upgrade to a property on Sullivan's Island but wants to keep the IOP bungalow as an investment property rather than selling it outright.

The Celebrity Touch What makes Shep Shack special is that it's not just a rental property—it's Shep's actual home, complete with his personal touches. The house remains fully furnished with Shep's art, memorabilia his mom has sent over the years, and his favorite items like his Victor Victrola and vinyl collection. These personal elements create an authentic experience that goes beyond your typical vacation rental. As Shep mentioned to The Post and Courier, "You feel like you're in Santa Monica a little bit there. It's no frills. It has a nice backyard and a back deck, and it's just cozy and what I needed at the time." |
Prime LocationOne of Shep Shack's biggest selling points is its location. Just a three-minute walk to the beach and only 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston, you get the best of both worlds—beach relaxation and easy access to one of America's most charming cities. |
Why Choose Shep Shack?Because it's more than just a beach house—it's a vibe. It's a place to relax, recharge, and maybe pretend you're on a Bravo show for a hot minute. Whether you're a Shep superfan, a beach bum, or just looking for good times and tan lines, this is your spot. As Shep himself says, "This is a good move and I'm stoked for people to stay there."
